Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to the humanities, Carthage awards one full-tuition per year 历史/英语/Creative Writing Scholarship each year to an incoming freshman. This scholarship is awarded to a student who shows an interest in and dedication to 历史, 英语, and/or Creative Writing, and is renewable for four years.
The Carthage 历史/英语/Creative Writing Scholarship is open to students majoring in history, 英语, or 英语 with an emphasis in creative writing. In addition to submitting the scholarship application, you must also apply for admission.

How to 应用
Candidates interested in the 历史/英语/Creative Writing Scholarship Program must complete the following no later than November 1:
- 提交 an application for admission to Carthage and supporting materials (high school transcripts).
- 提交 the 历史/英语/Creative Writing Scholarship Application. (Deadline: November 1, 2024)
- 提交 a one-page essay: Explain why you are interested in studying history, 英语, or creative writing. (This is part of the online scholarship application.)
To apply for a 历史/英语/Creative Writing Scholarship, candidates must intend to major in history, 英语, or 英语 with an emphasis in creative writing. (Carthage also offers a creative writing minor that can be completed with any major. 然而, scholarship recipients choosing creative writing must major in 英语 with an emphasis in creative writing. A double major in another subject area is acceptable and can typically be completed in four years.)
Application Review and Second Round
A Carthage scholarship committee will review your application and high school grades. Qualified applicants will be notified in early November. Successful candidates and their families will be invited to the second round of the 历史/英语/Creative Writing Scholarship Program, which will take place on the Carthage campus on Friday, November 15, 2024. Participation is a requirement for consideration for the 历史/英语/Creative Writing Scholarship.
The 历史/英语/Creative Writing Scholarship incorporates all Carthage assistance. Scholarships and grants may be combined with federal and state grants, not to exceed full tuition. Carthage also offers additional scholarships. 看到我们的 scholarship page for details.
